Food Craft.

Food & Wine Magazine, Ireland’s leading monthly publication on food and wine in Ireland has been writing up Wexford’s ever rising food profile for some years now.

The hallmark of food in the County is its freshness - meat from local farms, fish from local rivers.

Wexford Strawberries and Potatoes are sold the length and breadth of Ireland. Well known also for its cheeses - Wexford Creamery, Carrigbyrne and Croghan to name but a few.

November Edition:
Kevin Dundon of Dunbrody House Hotel, Arthurstown, was awarded Best Leinster Chef of the Year. Highly recommended in that category were Warren Gillen of La Riva and Roberto Pons of La Dolce Vita, both in Wexford Town.

In the National categories, La Dolce Vita was awarded Best Value and Ireland’s Best Exponent of Italian Cooking. La Marine at Kelly’s Hotel, Rosslare got a high recommendation as Leinster Hotel Restaurant - recommendations going to Sqigl’s Restaurant in Duncannon, Forde’s Restaurant, Wexford and La Riva, Wexford.

December Edition:
Billy Whitty & Joanne Harding, Aldridge Lodge, Duncannon were awarded Best Newcomer Restaurant with Accommodation.
