It is home the The Irish National Heritage Park, where visitors can enchantingly explore days of yore. Wexford is an adventure playground - with fun for all the family. From watching whales and dolphins in their natural habitat, to quad biking, river adventures,  archery and adventure sports. Horse Riding, Horse Racing and Showjumping 

Justly proud of its equestrian prowess, Wexford offers horsemen and women scenic rural settings for trekking, or exhiliarating canters through the crashing surf along Wexford's ample coastline. Show-jumping and dressage competitions are frequent, while beginners can avail of pony camps, or supervised ride-outs at one of the many riding stables throughout the county. Wexford has been attracting visitors from far and wide since Victorian times. Wexford is Ireland's sunniest county and boasts the country's finest beaches. The more than 25 km stretch between Cahore Point and The Raven Point is the longest continuous stretch on beach in Ireland. Picturesque fishingn villages dot the Wexford coastline. Moviemaker Steven Speilberg was so impressed with Ballineskar that he choose this for the location of the D-Day landings scenes in his multi-oscar winning film Saving Private Ryan. Amongst the most popular seaside resorts in Co Wexford are, Cahore, Morriscastle, Ballymoney, Kilmuckridge, Curracloe, Ballineskar, Culleton's Gap, Rosslare, Carne, Kilmore, Fethard-on-Sea, Duncannon, and Bagin Bun. Water sports abound in this county blessed with coasts. You can choose from dinghy racing, or sail and motor cruising. You can indulge in boating events, kayaking, windsurfing and canoeing.
